What Is Detoxification?

Colon DetoxificationWe often hear the question “What is Detoxification?” and would like to share our definition accordingly. Detoxification is the process of removing dangerous toxins from your body or neutralizing and transforming them into items your body can process. Detoxification is also the process of removing excess mucus and congestion from the body. Where do these toxins come from? Many of these toxins come from our diet, drug use, and last but not least from environmental exposure.. Body fats, cholesterol, free radicals, and other irritating chemicals act as toxins inside our bodies. Results are poor digestion, colon sluggishness and dysfunction, reduced liver function. Our kidneys have problems processing items as well due to these toxins. Once this vicious cycle has started the body has no chance and starts collecting and storing even more toxins (and therefore increases the symptoms described before).

The only real solution is detoxification. Detoxification involves significant dietary and lifestyle changes which reduce the intake of toxins and help the body to reduce the additional storage of toxins. But this is not enough. A colon detoxification or colon cleansing is an additional step that helps move the dangerous toxins out of your body. If you continue to life more healthy after the colon cleansing the body should be able by itself to fight the toxins and remove them.
